Conversations with Iya

Posted: October 30, 2013 in Misang's Baby Iya, Misang's Motherhood Journey

My baby’s growing so fast! She’ll be 3 in two month and I noticed a lot of changes in her. And she’s more talkative now. I want to share to you some of her short antics:

And because J has a giraffe obsession, I’ll use giraffe in most of the conversations

Iya: Do you see giraffe?
Me: I don’t know, where is it?
Iya: where are you giraffe?
(Finds giraffe) O yeah, there it is!

Iya: Giraffe…giraffe…LOuder! GIRAFFE!

Me: what do you want to eat?
Iya: cookies
Me: ay no more cookies…
Iya: apple?
Me:no more apples
Iya: orange?
Me: no more orange
Iya: the big yellow tab! (Her samsung tablet)
Me: you can’t eat that
Iya: cookies

(and we will repeat the whole conversation)

Iya: (looking for something) do you see giraffe?
Me: I don’t know
Iya: where did it go, where did it go?

She knows the alphabet already. There was one time I heard her “spell” out some words. She’s been watching Baby Einstein so she has an idea on how to spell words

Iya: C-A-C-Y spells CAT?!

and another

Iya: C-A-C-Y spells GIRAFFE (huh?!)

So I brought out her magnetic letters and placed them on the metal blackboard with princess drawings. Everyday I spell out a word for her. One time, I spelled out the word PIG. I suddenly heard her say:

So next time I spell out a word, I will place the right photo beside it.
