PAU or PAcific Adventist University is a premier institution of higher learning and research in the Pacific. It is operated by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

PAU is located 14 miles outside of Port Moresby. Just take the road going to the Sogeri and turn right on the road in front of the Adventure Park.

The place is a well-developed area with lakes full of water lilies (where I saw ducks and different kinds of birds), green grass, and lots of trees. We weren’t able to go around the campus because we went there just for the market. We also saw a basketball court and a group of Filipino guys playing. The place gives a peaceful ambiance and very suitable for a Sunday morning stroll.

The property is secured so there is no problem for the locals and tourist to come here. The market is open to the public every Sunday. Here, you can find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables that are a bit cheaper when bought from the supermarkets. These are grown either by local farmers, PAU students, or from the university farm.

Here are some photos from our trip:

After our market escapade, we decided to go to the Adventure Park to have breakfast. Unfortunately, the cafe is still closed so we just took photos inside.
